Venezuela
Venezuela’s Representative to the UN address to the UN General Assembly Emergency Special Session on Ukraine
“We regret to note that the current escalation, with the painful and terrible loss of life that it has entailed, originates from the breach of the Minsk Agreements under the encouragement of the United States of America. The permanent expansion of NATO towards Eastern Europe…Venezuela has always condemned the perverse tendency towards unilateral and hegemonic visions of the world, which disregard the principles of diplomacy, organize invasions with total impunity in countries such as Syria, Iraq or Afghanistan and promote media shields that limit freedom of expression and manipulate opinions. and emotions to increase xenophobia and hate speech.

Orinoco Tribune: Venezuela to Maintain Trade Relations with Russia at All Levels Despite Western Attacks President Maduro reiterated that Venezuela supports the talks between Russia and Ukraine and he hopes for the best for the European region. In addition, he repudiated the campaigns against the Russian Federation and defended its right to economic freedom.President Maduro explained that economic warfare is the method used by imperialism to “destroy” Russia, prior to its objective of militarily surrounding its territory, thereby breaching all signed agreements. He denounced the international campaigns with a narrative against Russian millionaires, called “oligarchs” by mainstream media, wondering what the millionaires in Spain or in the United States are called. He took the opportunity to repudiate the censorship against the Russian media and indicated that a new geopolitical age is taking shape. Despite the empire’s attempt to impose itself with the blackmail of the dollar and the financial and commercial system to impose a unipolar world, a multipolar world of new poles of power has been born.

Orinoco Tribune: President Maduro Confirms Support for Putin “I had a telephone conversation with President Vladimir Putin,” wrote President Maduro on Twitter. “I confirmed Venezuela’s condemnation of NATO’s destabilizing actions. I reiterated a firm disposition in favor of understanding and dialogue as a way to preserve peace.” President Maduro underlined the importance of countering the campaign of lies and disinformation unleashed by Western countries. He highlighted the defense of Russian sovereignty over Crimea, and the demilitarization and denazification of the Ukrainian state, in order to guarantee its neutral and non-nuclear status.

Orinoco Tribune: Venezuelan Journalists Condemn EU Ban on Sputnik and RT Patricia Villegas Marín, the director of TeleSUR, responded to the ban that “in the name of democracy, voices are being silenced.” “We at TeleSUR have experienced [this type of blockade] many times at decisive moments in the political life of Latin America and the Caribbean.” Diego Sequera of Mision Verdad: “This step is hostile, openly warlike—its purpose is to shape a unique and official vision of what is currently happening, regarding the Russian Federation’s military operation… Let us remember that the reputation of the traditional media is at its worst..They are definitely war propaganda, absolutely, so any journalistic narrative that moderately contrasts and offers a different version of the facts is going to be considered a threat in itself.”

Cuba
Cuba Statement on Ukraine: Cuba advocates a solution that guarantees the security and sovereignty of all
The U.S. determination to continue NATO’s progressive expansion toward the Russian Federation’s borders has brought about a scenario with implications of unpredictable scope, which could have been avoided. United States’ and NATO’s military moves toward regions adjacent to the Russian Federation in recent months are well known, and were preceded by the delivery of modern weapons to Ukraine, which together constitute a military siege. Ignoring the well-founded claims made by the Russian Federation concerning security guarantees for decades and assuming that Russia would remain defenseless in the face of a direct threat to its national security was a mistake. Russia has the right to defend itself.

Cuba’s Representative to the United Nations address to the UN General Assembly Emergency Special Session on Ukraine The U.S. determination to continue NATO’s progressive expansion towards the Russian Federation borders has brought about a scenario with implications of unpredictable scope, which could have been avoided. Ignoring for decades the well-founded claims of the Russian Federation for security guarantees and assuming that Russia would remain defenseless in the face of a direct threat to its national security was a mistake.  Peace cannot be achieved by sieging or cornering States. History will hold the United States accountable for the consequences of an increasingly offensive military doctrine outside NATO’s borders, which threatens international peace, security and stability. We welcome the start of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.  Dialogue and negotiations, not war, are the only means of solving the conflict.

Nicaragua
Nicaragua’s Representative to the United Nations address to the UN General Assembly Emergency Special Session on Ukraine
All of this is a product of disrespect and violations of the Charter of the United Nations, a product of interventionist policies in the internal affairs of the States, which gave rise to the Coup d’état in Ukraine in 2014, and the attacks and bombings against the populations of Donetsk and Lugansk, causing the deaths of thousands of people. This is a fact that cannot be forgotten.
