Battle of Ideas is a radio program organized by the Alliance for Global Justice and Radio Primero Negro (RNP) 101.1 FM in Caracas, Venezuela. The program promotes dialogue between the progressive forces of the south and the north to achieve a better understanding of our realities and struggles. Our first program featured the following speakers:
- Fred Mills (PhD), professor of philosophy and expert in the philosophy of liberation
- Sara Flounders, co-founder of International Action Center and organization Sanctions Kill and long-time activist and human rights defender who worked closely with former prosecutor Ramsey Clark
- Camille Landry, human rights defender and National Co-Coordinator of Alliance for Global Justice
- Roger Waters, composer, singer, guitarist, human rights activist and former member of the legendary band Pink Floyd
- Jose Roberto Duque, Venezuelan writer, essayist and national journalism award winner
Together they analyzed the historic moment the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is experiencing after the third election of President Maduro, the chosen candidate of the Venezuelan people, despite more than 900 illegal coercive measures imposed by the United States and its allies to strangulate Venezuela’s economy and erode popular support for the Bolivarian Revolution.
