MondoWeiss: AFGJ, US-based human rights group loses fundraising platform over association with Palestinian NGO The Alliance for Global Justice’s had its online fundraising platform shut down after complaints from a Zionist lawfare group. AfGJ serves as a fiscal sponsor for nearly 150 non-profit organizations across the US, including some that work in Palestine. One of those groups is Samidoun, which has established an international support network for Palestinian prisoners. In February 2021 the Israeli government added Samidoun to its “terror list” over its alleged ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Samidoun has repeatedly denied the allegations and vowed to continue their work amid mounting political challenges.

Nicaragua
NicaNotes: Why 222 Nicaraguan Criminals Were Deported and Why They and Others Lost Their Citizenship These 222 received US monies directly or indirectly, through nonprofits or businesses, to manage US aggressions against the State of Nicaragua. Many of them conspired with the US embassy in Managua. Most  of them were involved in the 2018 US-directed coup attempt that left 253 people dead, hundreds of Sandinistas tortured and traumatized, and billions of dollars of damage to the economy. They were planning further actions in the run-up to Nicaragua’s 2021 elections when they were arrested.

Venezuela
Venezuelanalysis: The Blockade against Venezuela: Measures and Consequences In recent years, the US and its allies have unleashed a devastating blockade against Venezuela, targeting virtually all sectors of the economy, in hopes of triggering regime change. In this infographic, we detail the measures and deadly consequences of this multi-pronged aggression.

Orinoco Tribune: President Maduro: The War in Ukraine Is Part of the Labor Pains of a World That Will Emerge Maduro: “We have always advocated the construction of a pluripolar, multicentric world, with different poles of development, power, centers that accompany all regions of the world.” He also rhetorically asked, “Should we take for granted the unipolar domination of a metropolis that claims to dictate to the world? No.”

Kawsachun News: Undefeated Revolutions and the Peculiar Character of Gabriel Boric By 2019-2020, it looked like the United States had recovered the region. The only problem was that Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela were still standing. So in that context of favorable relation of forces for the United States, they launched a massive wave of aggression, particularly against Venezuela, but also against Cuba. And these countries confronted this in the context of the pandemic. The cases of Honduras, Brazil, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and the disappointment of Boric in Chile.

Bolivia
Labour Outlook: Anti-democratic violence won’t stop Bolivia’s path of social progress – Interview with Camila Escalante The right’s mobilising power is decreasing, as we saw with the most recent arrest of the leader of that region and leader of the 2019 coup, Luis Fernando Camacho. When he was arrested, the Civic Committee was not able to cause a civic strike or a shutdown of the city, and instead were reduced to small violent protests in the centre of Santa Cruz. Also discussed here is the economic growth since the coup regime, and Bolivia’s foreign relations.

Cuba
National Network on Cuba condemns Biden’s False Designation of Cuba as a State Supporter of Terrorism Unbelievably Biden’s Secretary of State asserts that “Cuba had repeatedly provided support for acts of international terrorism since its State Sponsor of Terrorism designation had been rescinded in 2015.”  With Cuba’s SSOT designation, the U.S. attempts to criminalize normalizing relations with Cuba, exacerbating the already devastating impacts of the US blockade on Cuba. The Country Report on Terrorism repeats the same discredited excuses that over 180 of the world’s countries have rejected for 30 consecutive years in votes at the United Nations General Assembly.

ResumenLatinoamericano: Guantanamo: The Meaning of 120 Years of Illegal Occupation To a great many people of the world the word Guantanamo has become synonymous with torture since the US opened up their military prison center there in 2002. Today marks the 120th year of continuous US Naval occupation of Guantanamo. Our president Miguel Diaz Canal made the collective sentiment of the Cuban people clear this morning, “Our sovereignty was severed, this day in 1903, when Tomás Estrada Palma signed the cession of the territory that remains illegally occupied by the United States against the will of the Cuban people”. No Cuban has ever accepted the vile nature of the yanqui naval base in our Guantanamo.

ResumenLatinoamericano: Cuba: A False Goal of Zuckerberg & CIA Mark Zuckerberg’s boys were very active against Cuba in 2022. More than one Cuban page was censored by the Palo Alto team without plausible explanations. One of the most notorious closures, last October, was that of the space that the site Razones de Cuba had in that digital social network. Another was the web page of Raúl Capote, editor-in-chief of the international editorial office of Granma, whom the CIA tried to recruit a few years ago for its anti-Cuban plans in the cultural sector.
