We strongly reject the racist and classist coup orchestrated by the Peruvian oligarchy on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, against President Pedro Castillo Terrones, who was legitimately elected by the Peruvian people as President of the Republic on July 20, 2021.

We denounce that there has been a strategic alliance between the US, the ultra-right and the Peruvian right wing to sabotage, undermine and remove President Pedro Castillo, in which the Congress of the Republic, the Public Ministry, the Judiciary and above all the hegemonic media have had as allies the constitutional court, the Ombudsman’s Office and the Catholic Church hierarchy itself. All of them have jointly exerted strong pressure, with – – – – serious defamations – – – – we are facing a lawfare. Thus, they endorse and give way to the imposition of Vice President Dina Boluarte (a puppet of Fujimorism), who is appointed president of Peru by the Congress of the Republic.

At the same time, we are deeply concerned that this illegally imposed regime is brutally repressing all citizens and all sectors participating in the massive popular mobilizations, unrestrictedly demanding the immediate release of President Pedro Castillo Terrones.

We call on all peoples, governments and human rights organizations to join the solidarity campaign and demand respect for the self-determination and sovereignty of the peoples of Peru, as well as respect for the life and human rights of President Pedro Castillo Terrones and his family, which — victims of continuous physical and psychological harassment by the authorities of the Dina regime.

We demand:

Stop the brutal repression against the different sectors of the Peruvian people who are mobilized in defense of their homeland! Three people have already died and more than twenty are injured.

We declare:

Our total and absolute solidarity for the dignified people of Peru,

the social and popular organizations and especially

for the legitimate President Pedro Castillo Terrones and his family.

Desde el Observatorio de Derechos Humanos de los Pueblos rechazamos contundentemente el golpe racista y clasista orquestado por la oligarquía peruana el día miércoles 7 de diciembre, 2022, en contra del Presidente Pedro Castillo Terrones, quien fue legítimamente elegido por el pueblo peruano como Presidente de la República, el 20 de julio, 2021.

Denunciamos que ha habido una alianza estratégica entre los EEUU, la ultraderecha y derecha peruana para sabotear, socavar y vacar al Presidente Pedro Castillo, en la cual el Congreso de la República, el Ministerio Público, el Poder Judicial y sobre todo los medios hegemónicos de comunicación han tenido como aliados al tribunal constitucional, la Defensoría del Pueblo y la misma jerarquía de la iglesia católica. Todos ellos de manera conjunta han realizado una fuerte presión, con – – – graves difamaciones – – -estamos ante un lawfare. Así avalan y dan paso a la imposición de la Vicepresidenta Dina Boluarte (títere del fujimorismo), quien, es nombrada presidenta de Perú por el Congreso de la República.

A la vez, nos preocupa profundamente que este régimen ilegal impuesto esté reprimiendo brutalmente a toda la ciudadanía y a todos los sectores que participan en las masivas movilizaciones populares, exigiendo irrestrictamente la libertad inmediata del Presidente Pedro Castillo Terrones.

Hacemos un llamado a todos los pueblos, gobiernos y organizaciones de Derechos Humanos a sumarse a la campaña de solidaridad y exigir el respeto a la autodeterminación y soberanía de los pueblos de Perú. Así como el respeto a la vida y los derechos humanos del Presidente Pedro Castillo Terrones y su familia, la cual — está siendo víctima permanente de hostigamientos físicos y psicológicos por parte de las autoridades del régimen de Dina.

EXIGIMOS:

¡Alto a la brutal represión contra los diversos sectores del pueblo peruano

que están movilizados por la defensa de su patria! Ya han fallecido tres personas y más de veinte están heridas.

DECLARAMOS:

Nuestra solidaridad total y absoluta para el digno pueblo de Perú,

las organizaciones sociales y populares y en especial,

para el Presidente legítimo Pedro Castillo Terrones y su familia.
