The International Free Alex Saab Committee has launched a campaign to collect signatures and send simultaneous direct emails to authorities in the United States and Cape Verde.

6/17/21: Bishop Teixeira, Local 8751 Cabo Verde Bus Drivers and members of the Alex Saab Defense Committee delivered a letter signed by 50+ supporters to the Permanent Mission of Cape Verde to the United Nations.

The letter was also delivered to the Cabo Verde Mission to the United Nations in NYC. The delegation was told the Ambassador was not in residence. But the Aide did accept the UN HRC letter. See letters with signers here!

6/15/21: Breaking News: The United Nations Human Rights Committee orders Cape Verde to comply with interim measures regarding Alex Saab

6/8/21: The United Nations (UN) Human Rights Committee asked the Government of Cape Verde to suspend the extradition of Venezuelan diplomat and businessman Alex Saab while the international body is analyzing the case. Read more at Orinoco Tribune.

6/1/21: International delegation of legal experts and activists prepares to visit Alex Saab in Cape Verde to learn about the case firsthand, raise awareness about the case, and awaken public opinion to his plight.
