Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro has taken bold steps to promote a broad and inclusive Total Peace Plan for Colombia. However, union leaders from REDSIPAZ (Labor Union Network for the Defense of the Peace and the Public), say they are not being included, and their counsel and concerns are not being heard. Their unions are stigmatized by false allegations and threatened by unacceptably high rates of assaults, displacement, and assassinations. In this webinar we will learn about how the members of REDSIPAZ want to support the Total Peace Plan, what are the obstacles that block their full participation, and how internationalists can show their solidarity.
El presidente de Colombia, Gustavo Petro, ha tomado medidas audaces para promover un Plan de Paz Total amplio e incluyente para Colombia. Sin embargo, los líderes sindicales de REDSIPAZ (Red de Sindicatos por la Defensa de la Paz, lo Público), afirman que no se les está incluyendo, y que sus consejos y preocupaciones no están siendo escuchados. Sus sindicatos están estigmatizados por falsas acusaciones y amenazados por tasas inaceptablemente altas de agresiones, desplazamientos y asesinatos. En este webinar conoceremos cómo los miembros de REDSIPAZ quieren apoyar el Plan Paz Total, cuáles son los obstáculos que impiden su plena participación, y cómo los internacionalistas pueden mostrar su solidaridad.
