As the US war hawks have Venezuela in their gaze, we dedicate ourselves to the work of lifting up voices of those exposing the truth despite our corporate media who is by all appearances working alongside US war hawks.  To that end, the May Venezuela webinar will feature Daniel Kovalik.

Kovalik recently returned from an eye-witness delegation to Venezuela that studied the impacts of US and Canada sanctions.  A report recently released by the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) found that 40,000 people have died as a result of sanction since 2017. Sanctions are depriving Venezuelans of lifesaving medicines, medical equipment, food and other essential imports.  Make no mistake, sanctions are war.

It is no surprise that corporate media around the world is telling the same pro-war, pro-intervention narrative, because they’ve done it countless times before.  Kovalik will also give us an analysis of the corporate media’s role in this drawn out coup attempt.

Daniel Kovalik currently teaches International Human Rights at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.  He also served for over 25 years as Associate General Counsel of the United Steelworkers, AFL-CIO (USW), and is author of the forthcoming book, The Plot to Overthrow Venezuela, How the US is Orchestrating a Coup for Oil, with a Foreword by Oliver Stone.
