Ultima Noticias: President Maduro supports International Conference promoted by Petro
This conference takes place in Bogotá on April 25 with 19 countries invited. “I told the foreign minister to convey to Gustavo Petro all my support for this conference to be successful,” said the Venezuelan head of state. It is important that “the entire international community has a single voice, zero sanctions against Venezuela.” “I expressed Venezuela’s full support for this summit to energize and revive the entire struggle of our country to achieve respect for our sovereignty, our independence and the definitive lifting of all unilateral coercive measures.”

Internationalist 360: NATO’s Growing Military Presence in Latin America and the Caribbean
Especially after the arrival of Laura Richardson as head of the US Southern Command in October 2021, Washington’s aggressive interference in the region has increased. This coincided with Biden’s presidency which substituted the traditional protagonism of the State Department in diplomatic activity, by the Pentagon, the National Security Council and CIA.
This is part of the “integrated deterrence” strategy of the US, the National Security Doctrine which brings together under the Pentagon’s leadership “all the civilian and military capabilities of governments, businesses, civil society and academia of the United States and all its allies”.
Richardson’s visit to Colombia was part of a tour of several countries in the region with the express purpose of counteracting the influence of China and Russia, and to promote the isolation of Nicaragua, Cuba and Venezuela.
The article looks at the US military role in Paraguay, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Uruguay, Guatemala, Panama, Brazil, Bolivia. Peru, Mexico.
The adoption by the US of the military concept of “integrated deterrence,” which supposedly expresses “shared values” with Latin America that in reality do not exist, is aimed at using the countries of the region in its global war against China and Russia.

Mision Verdad: Nicolás Maduro as President of Venezuela for 10 Years: 10 Milestones
Except for the 2015 parliamentary elections, the president has led the Chavista parties in electoral victories on nine occasions, including two presidential elections, the 2020 parliamentary elections, two regional elections, and an election of a National Constituent Assembly. The attacks against President Maduro’s mandate have been constant, unprecedented, and irrational. Maduro is the only president in history against whom a national “trial” was organized abroad, without his presence, while he was exercising the full functions of his office. In March 2020, US Attorney General Barr declared President Maduro a criminal, accusing him of being a “drug trafficker and financier of terrorism” and put a $15 million price on his head in order to trigger international action to capture him.
Venezuela has developed an integral security structure, with the civic-military union as its base. This has helped the country overcome all attacks, drone assassination attempt, classic military coup attempt, the battle of the border bridges between Venezuela and Colombia, Operation Gideon.
The government adopted actions to circumvent the blockade, new monetary policies, actions to promote production. This facilitated the conditions for the recovery of GDP and its return to growth from the end of 2021.
In 2019, almost 60 countries recognized the “interim government,” disavowing President Maduro. Three years later, the context had changed dramatically: in 2022 only four countries claimed to recognize Juan Guaidó as president. The international “maximum pressure” agenda also failed because the head of the Venezuelan government made it fail. Free Alex Saab Movement makes urgent call for help regarding Saab’s health
