Over the past few months Cuba has responded to requests for assistance from 38 countries and has sent 45 medical teams made up of more than 3,700 doctors, nurses and other medical specialists. The virus affects people regardless of their nationality, and Cuba has shown just how countries that are able can help those who need assistance.

OrinocoTribune: President Maduro Handed Over the House Number 3 Million Two Hundred Thousand President Maduro, handed over the house number 3,200,000 of the Great Venezuela Housing Mission, and announced that this year 400,000 homes will be built, while by 2021 that goal must be exceeded.He highlighted that 70% of the houses were built using the Venezuelan Living Assembly, an organization where the same community carries out the work with the help of the government.

 

Orinoco Tribune: US Only Gave Maduro 100 Days in Office: Intelligence Sources in 2013 (Rafael Correa) Rafael Correa called Arreaza aside and in a confidential tone revealed that intelligence sources gave him the information that the US only gave Nicolás Maduro 100 days as President of Venezuela after the passing of Commander Chávez. “The United States gave 100 days to Nicolás Maduro and the Chavista government, that Chávez was no longer there and that he had to leave. Since the United States had acted against Chávez, it would be much easier for it to remove Maduro from power in Venezuela and liquidate the Bolivarian project,” explained Arreaza.

 

TeleSur: US Southern Command Chief Admits Plans Against Venezuela Foreign Affairs Minister Arreaza Monday denounced that the U.S. Southern Command Admiral Craig Faller openly admitted his country’s plans to violently overthrow President Maduro. Faller commented at an online meeting organized by the business forum Council of the Americas that the international attempts to bring down Venezuela’s government have worked, although not quickly enough for the Venezuelan people.

The United Kingdom Court of Appeals Monday annulled the decision that granted opposition lawmaker Juan Guaido control of 31 tons of gold that Venezuela has deposited in England.

 

Venezuelanalysis: UN Human Rights Council Passes Dual Venezuela Resolutions The first was presented by Peru and endorsed by the right wing governments which make up the Lima Group. It granted a two year extension to a controversial “fact finding” mission which is investigating the human rights situation in the country.The second resolution, which was backed by Venezuela, extends the functions of the Venezuela-based office of the UN high commissioner for human rights, as well as promising to “continue UN technical cooperation” with the government.It also denounced the human rights consequences of Washington’s blockade against the Caribbean country and urged a “constructive dialogue and cooperation with the state”

Morning Star: Bolivian MAS candidate warns coup regime is threatening military force to stop it winning The Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) presidential candidate Luis Arce has warned that the country’s coup regime is “now threatening the use of military force” to stop his party winning this month’s election. He issued an appeal on Tuesday night for international observers to come and ensure that whatever happens “during the election campaign, on [election day] October 18 and the days after” takes place before the eyes of the world.
